The purpose of this site is as much to give information about the progress of our trip to our friends as it is to save ourselves a journal of the experience.
The diary is updated by an sms/email gateway which feeds several unix scripts running on two different computers. The first computer processes new diary entries and makes the appropriate html file immediately upon receiving a message. The second computer processes possible pictures and updates the web site once an hour.
Everything is accomplished by standard unix shell scripts and a few utilities. All coding and everything on this website (except diary entries made by others) are done by kuvaweopu.
First of all, thanks to Asmu and Gandi for testing this site. And very special thanks to nieppa who is looking over these pages during our trip and will try to keep them up and running.
